Delivering Archives and Digital Objects: a Conceptual Model (DadoCM)

From their project description: “… DadoCM envisions new designs for archival access systems that integrate metadata from both archival components and digital objects—often managed in separate systems—into a single user interface that facilitates discovery using archival description and delivers digital objects within that context. By promoting shared understanding and common practices in this work, DadoCM aims to facilitate new designs that create new discovery and access paths for users…”

CAO is an ArcLight instance and developers at SUNY Albany are designing a version of ArcLight that indexes EAD and along with digital object metadata (preferably IIIF). The developers are also working on an ArchivesSpace plugin that will help to facilitate linking of digital objects and digital object aggregations to finding aid data in ASpace.
